Process + Visual Direction

I started this project off with some research on the original story of "Romeo and Juliet," identifying key visual elements. I took those elements and brought them into thumbnails, focusing on the two main characters.

The goal was to create an intimate composition that also foreshadowed the tragedy to come. The closeness to the characters makes this moment feel romantic, while we still get a hint of danger with the streak of light in the shape of the dagger. The halos highlight the innocence of these children of rivaling families.
